i was wondering how long a 55g tank would be sufficient for a bass. could i have one in there its whole life? i have a 55g now and am debating on buying a bass but wanna know how long i would have till i upgraded if i had to. the fish store i go to has one about 3-4in which would be the one i bought to give you an idea of how big it would start out as. thanks for the help
 
You have no chance of keeping a cichla in a 55gal for life.. ill give youe a few months before you need to upgrade..
