He does. Got a few others in there. Doesn't like elongated fish mid level fish. He ate a few of my old fish. So far eating well on pellets/carni sticks/tilapia/ shrimp.

Awesome, so who does he tolerate now? I'd love to try one, but I am sensing that my small collection of relative stretched out, silver fish might not be his favorite tank mates.

Right now I have some red and blue Colombian tetras he leaves alone. He dwarfs them in size. I have some alestes Tetras that he ignores as well. Got a chaca chaca, polls, and rope fish all left alone. It depends on the temperament.

That's awesome! My Mala will not tolerate anything else laying on the bottom of the tank, but he's always been a bit cranky.
