I been researching dwarf Caimans. But before o get crazy about getting 1. I search i it was legal to own I'n Canada but couldnt find nutting. Does any one no if i can own 1 I'n Canada?

Depends where in canada

Alberta

I know they are legal in Saskatchewan. At cow town they had a 5 foot caiman (I think spectacled), which they eventually sold, so they are a) LeGal, but need a permit or b) leGal in canada, but maybe not in certain provinces, cities, etc. Just keep looking and Im sure you can find an answer. Even email the government or whatever if you have to.

All crocodilians including caimans, alligators, crocodiles, and gavials are considered to be controlled animals in Alberta and are illegal to possess.

Sources: Wildlife Regulation

  • Section 4(1)(h) (Interpretation for purposes of the act)
  • Section 140 (Traffic in live controlled animals)
  • Schedule 5 (Controlled Animals)

Damn thx for the info.wiggles thx for digging for me bro

Just to clear things up, all gators, crocs, and caimans are not legal to own in Saskatchewan either.
