Okay, so the fuse on my 60G plug just blew and i replaced it and everything was running fine for about 15min then blew...

Now the replacement fuse was old so maybe that played a part in it, but on the off chance its something else, would it be safe or not for me to place a 13amp fuse into the 5amp plug?

Would that cause any problems? Either way tmr i'll be buying a new 5amp fuse to try, and maybe a 13amp if the 5amp fails again?

from my understanding you don't want a fuse too big. in case of a surge where you'd want the fuse to blow, a bigger fuse may not and your equipment can end up being damaged by the surge

you can just go to home depot or something and see what they recommend too

i'd try another good 5 amp fuse just to make sure it's not something else that's causing the blown fuses

No home depot over here thats the problem, which is why i ask here :)

But yeah that was what i was thinking too so i'm going to try and see if any shops are open that have fuses so i can buy a couple...

Besides the surge coming from the wall outlet which i know can blow the fuse, could the equipment itself also trip the fuse in the plug some how?

oh yea you're I hong kong. go to your local electronics store. hopefully it's a standard fuse and you don't have to buy from the maker of the equipment. but yea you'd have to find out if it's not your equipment itself too.

Just picked up 10 new fuses, so hopefully no more problems... Otherwise im up crap creek...

Something is going into overload like a timer that has caught water coz it is shorted. Find the rootcause first. Adding a 13A fuse to a 5A will allow the troubled equipment to operate into overload and may even cause fire. Or perhaps, you are running too many equipment in a single line where it consumes more than 5A. This scenario is more unlikely but can be easily determined if you don't have any testing tool by feeling the extension wires temperature. Some of the wires for extension cords are not even rated past 5A. Provide more symptoms and we can do the analysis for you. TBH, if it blows after 15 minutes, I will be concerned.
