quick question about pbass

do they spend a lot of time hiding or swimming the tank, i'm looking for a mid to upper level fish to compliment my 2 retic sting rays

How many do you have? I bought one and found it to hide a lot. I got 2 more and they would swim around in a group after that.

when they are small they do hide, it is instict or whatever. when they are small they are targets for larger fish so they hide to prevent being eaten by larger fish. if there is more then 2 then they can school and appear as a large fish so their chances of gettin eatin are smaller.

Probably a little larger than some's pbass or just comfortable.

I will agree most like to hide when small but IMO they are a all over the place fish mostly being in the middle/top portion of the tank.

stressed they lay on the bottom, its better to have a small group, they do better IMO

yea they do do better in groups of 3 or more! 2 being better than 1 but 3 even better! IME!
