Hey everyone I've kept herps for about 6 years now and I've never been to an expo or convention. I know thats kinda sad but anyway there is one coming up in my city in may and I was wondering what the etiquette is with trading?

I currently have a 30g tall set up with a sexed pair of dwarf madagascan spiny tail iguanas, and they aren't really doing it for so I was wondering If I could initiate some kind of a trade at this expo.
so my questions are

1. can you trade at expos?
2. do I have to bring the animals and enclosure with me and trade there on the day? or do you just meet someone who is willing to trade something and go for that
3. is there some kind of a section usually for people who want to do this?

many shows do not allow the public to bring in their own animals.. vendors pay a lot of money to get tables and promoters frown on people walking in with animals to sell ... your best bet is to touch base with some of the vendors before the show and see if they would be interested in your animals..

Thats a good idea, thanks for your input.

I was curious if maybe you could just bring pictures and info and then use that to initiate a swap?

Put some free ads up on Faunaclassifieds and see if anyone is willing to meet you at the show. I do that from time to time.

Sorry guys I'm in Calgary Canada, I need to update my location I keep forgetting
