When is the best time of year to repot indoor plants? And is it acceptable to do it right now, being it november and pretty cold (55°)? I'm talking the soil, pot, and location of the plant. Most of them don't need a bigger pot but 2 of them definitely do. I have a half dozen I want to do like right now but I'm worried it might kill them. Their in these fugly plastic pots. All of them are. A few also need an upgraded pot. But if i can id like to give them all new pots. All of them I want to remove most if not all the previous soil and replace with new, different kind. Specially formulated soils.

The plants in need of new pots(*), soil(~), and location(#) are listed below:
Ficus Benjamina(~)
Azalea Tree(~#)
Bougainvallea(~#)
Money tree(*~)
Unkown ID(~#)
Hyssopifolia 'alba'(#~)(might die)
Silver Boxwood(~)
Hinoki Cypress(~#)

I've read online that the best time to do it is in the spring, right before they wake up from their winter hibernation. That said, you've got indoor plants, I can't see how it would matter...Be careful with the roots, you want to trim the ones that are growing down and keep the ones that are growing out. That's how you maintain the bonsai effect and keep the tree from dying from becoming root-bound. Eventually, the tree will catch on but for now, trim the roots the are growing down. But only do that on the healthy plants. The fence-sitter, I wouldn't touch except to fertilize it. It may not tolerate being repotted. I killed my privet that way. Tried to repot it when I realized I had let it go too long in the pot it was already in. I was getting the old soil out of the roots and they started falling off. Not good. It never recovered. I was less than thrilled.

Im torn between spending a very small portion of my credit card on amazon and getting my suplies or not buying anything... Its really hard for me to buy anything... Especially after the bill passes 20$. Then it gets scary 0.0

Depends on how they look. You really should at least once annually. Just to keep them alive. Like I said, being root-bound will kill them. And the way I see it is you're diggin them up anyway....you know.... It's totally your call though. Play it by ear and remember that it needs to be done sooner or later.
