Quick question on Blood Red Parrots

i was just wondering if red parrots eat or destroy plants? i just got my plants just right and i dont want to throw a parrot in if itll ruin my tank

I agree, they won't eat plants per se, due to the shape of their mouth, but being a cichlid, they will uproot your plants when they move and dig in the substrate.

Since its already planted, try cichlid that won't destroy plants like multispinosa or ellioti, and I don't think salvini mess with plants but not sure about them.

Mine never attempted to eat them but they did like crazy especially when they are in breeding mode.
