102g..............Personally, two Aqua Clear 101's and a DIY wet/dry sump(costing under $60 to build) will work for me..........If not so keen on personal construction skills, then scratch out the DIY and replace it with a FilStar Xp3................

Aqua Clear--------->Best MECHANICAL filtraion unit out there.....

FilStar Xp3-------->I have been a FLUVAL owner since the late 80's.........I have recently switched to the FilStar Xp3 because I have sen their prices slightly less than that of the FLUVAL..........The Xp3 model works just as good...........

A DIY wet/dry sumo------->Home Depot, Office Depot, and Target.........These three stores sell the components to biological filtration system that costs under $60 to build...........

i dont have room under my stand for a sump and my tank doesnt have overflows

Well, the filters you stated will all depend on your stock/bio load.

FX5 so much better than a 305, unless ya already have the 305 ... u can find FX5's on ebay for $225 brand new

i have the 305 allready im looking for a second canister i might kust go with the fx5 and 305 not sure yet im still undecided about filtration

If you are going to buy another filter than try and get a Eheim 2260, 2262.
