Quick question on meds

I have a juvie aro about 5" long that is missing a single scale from his back and has some white looking dots in the center of the tail fin that form a line.

I know the scale will grow back and it is not bleeding. As far as the white dots go, should I treat with melafix? I dont think it is ich and it may just be from stress. He is the only fish in the tank.

I cannot get a clear pic of it. It's a very small area on a small fish and my camera skills are crap.

Hard to picture the dots without pics. You're fine without Melafix. Just do plenty of water changes.
