Hey all, I just wanted to know if it were possible to put a 40g tank (5 feet long, 13" wide... nice and oddball) on a pair of old wooden speakers? They are about 11" wide and 15" long, I'd turn them so the 15" are now width (fully getting the 13" width of the tank) and the 11" are length. That means about 22" of the tank's total 60" is supported. I'd put one at either end, or a little bit in so some tank sticks out either side. I would cut a wood board to fit the tank. I see stands build like a shorter version of this, like a wide roman numeral 2., and wanted to know if a really stretched out version works.
The speakers are solid, I have no doubts about them taking the weight, it's the sheer suspended tank and possible pressure on seals I wonder about.
Can this work? Or do I have to try and find something else?
Thanks!
