So i have a spare (45-50gallon) tank that i used to have an iguana in, is there anything i can use this tank for maybe a turtle, or native warm water fish, perch, bass, sunfish, bluegill, etc????

cause of the fact i used to house a reptile in it, i heard something with the reptiles leaches into the sealant, thus killing fish that are later housed in it, but i dunno, thats why i put up this thread

someone told me i could wash it out really good with bleach, then air dry, but i dunno, bleach just sounds like a bad idea, any opinions would be appreciated, thanks :feedback:

I'd replace the sealant just in case so disasters can be avoided.

You could bleach it, but then rinse it REALLY well. As long as it doesn't leak, it should be fine

Sell that tank and get a new one or (vise versa), safest way and no hassle having to bleach or worrying if your fish will be safe.

What on earth do reptiles do to aquarium sealant? Never heard of this before.
