yeah i thort of that i just wanted to no if there was anything else like crabs or something just so i dont waste my money on somthing that is goin to get eaten but a big pleco sonds about right thaank .

A gravel vacuum and a scouring pad.
If you've got uneaten food sitting around, feed less. I wouldn't rely on a pleco to eat algae, plecos mostly just make a lot of poop.

Crabs, Crays, or Shrimp would likely be eaten. If not right away, they'd probably get picked off when they moult.

Just feed a little less and you'll probably be fine.

yeah if its a common pleco they really only efficiently eat algae when they are little and need to be fed supplemental veggies and leftover pellets, and common plecs get huge so how big is your tank? if you like plecos and have a large enough tank then go ahead and get one but i wouldnt get one purely for the sake of cleaning algae, easiest way to get rid of algae is feed less and make sure you keep up with water changes and dont have your lights on all the time and it should go away, you may still have to do the occasional glass cleaning but not much
