Quick Question

What kind of problems do you guys think i'd run into if I went with 2 Convicts, a Firemouth and a JD in a 55G?

Hi, if the convicts breed then they will push all the other fish into the other end of the tank and attack them. they can be very nasty for there relatively small size but the jd and fire mouth should be able to withstand them.

Yeah I'm thinking either I wouldn't be able to get the JD or the Firemouth would have to go.

Convicts will spawn & terorize their tankmates. (if they're M&F)

How about I skip the JD and extra Con and go with a GT.

a JD would eventually kill them but the convicts would terrorize the whole tank until then..or even after..but i never really knew anyone who keeps a firemouth single i thought there more shoaling..but id switch the convicts maybe even a jd for a green terror..

why not try 1 convict, 1 firemouth and 1 JD ... ? I did that for quite a while, and there was no problem ...

not that it will work for you, just saying ...

gt will get too big for a 55 they will eventually outgrow it... i would go with convicts and firemouths ther are also salvinis they are colorfull and xcan live in a 55 for life
