Does any one have a fish tank around other pets such as cats dogs ect... Does any of your pets hair get in the tank? I just wanted to know would it be harmful to the fish if its eaten. Because I have 2 cats and a dog and I always find their hair in my tank.

make sure you cover your tanks well... my gf has her to cats but my tanks are completely covered nd if hair were to get in shuldnt your filter suck it up

Yeah it's covered really well but the hair still manages to get in. And it just settles on the top.

yea tht sounds like a nightmare the cat might be climbing on top of the tank and its just shedding off them try and create a barrier around the tank and keep them away from them for a while after u clean the hair out...

I sometimes find cat hair floating in my fish tank. I don't think it would hurt them but will defiantly get caught up in the filter. I hate finding it wrapped around the propeller..

Yeah I just got done cleaning my tank. And saw a whole bunch of cat hair floating on the top. I guess I'll have to get the net out and skim the top of the water. And maybe shave my cats lol.

LOL +1 for shaving the cats! In all honesty though, it shouldn't be too bad. I have a couple white pit bulls and somehow their hair manages to get in the tank from time to time even though I have lids. I've never noticed any problems come out of it.
