Is it true that breeding a Texas Cichlid and a Red Devil will create a flowerhorn???

I was just wonderin because i got a really nice looking texas at least thats what i believe it is it was sold to me as a Jack Dempsey, the guy at my lfs ordered some and he got Texas cichlids i guess, didn't even notice till now to be honest o well only cost me 4 bucks also not sure about the sex of it but i was thinkin about gettin a nice red devil and breeding some flowerhorns.
