Quick quick quick HELP!!

I have this plant that I got 3-4 days ago. I bought it as a single stem. Im not sure what it is and now I'm wondering if it has a rhizome. I buried it in the substrate!!! I dont know what it is but it might be a fern.
Quick should this be buried in the substrate cuz it might have a rhizome???!! Does it need to be attached to driftwood?????????

for the most part you shouldn't bury the rhizomes of aquatic plants. Good Idea to Tie them to driftwood and let the roots do the work. And yes, it does look like some type of fern. keep us posted on the results.
