When I owned water snakes, I always use regular tap water. And I never had any problems with it or it affecting my snakes. Hope this helps.

I kept and bred snakes for a long while. I guess it would depend on your local water supply, but I used tap for the whole time with no ill effects.

tap ist as good for them .they will live a shorter life because the constant chlorine poisoning.if you put a little salt in the water befor you give it to them,it will neutralize the chlorine.treat the water in a 10 gallontank and then give it to them.

10 gallons=1 tablespoon of salt

i give my animals purified water,so whatever you want to do is your decision

ok, it was the chlorine that worried me. its ok for my fish, but ill still let it sit

tap water wont harm you reptiles

if its safe to drink by human standard its ok for your herps.

think drinking fountains in the park for small kids. if its ok for them .....you get the idea.

most of us here dont because we dont like the taste :D

i drink it though
