I have a quick question for all you experts out there. Well i have a sump which is going on my tank and i will have to do weekly water changes with a python. I use a overflow box for the wet dry so when i drain some water, the filter will stop getting water until i finish the water change. so my question is(finally), will the bacteria on the scrubbies or bio balls(got both) die off?

In the amount of time it will take You to do a water change, No you will be fine. You can do a water change in less than four Hours. I would not refill the sump with untreated water at all. Refill the tank, start Your siphon, and top off the tank. Should be no issue.

Thanks for the REALLY QUICK response. And what i do is remove water, add conditioner, then refill. The sump stays untouched.

Your bacteria will be fine during water changes.
