In a Smuckers jar.
Ok so quick question, I know UV's work on green water and such. But does it work on the algae that's on the glass surface? I'm guessing no? Makes sense since whatever flows through the light is the only thing being treated. So what if I scrub the hell out of my tank. Now the algae is free floating and should get treated right?

I think i read a post simular to this just a few days ago. You are right there is no way for the UV to kill algea on the glass. It seems to stand correct that with cleaning the glass very well and having a UV running you should get less algea growing on the glass as it will kill the Green spot algae while floating.
