Hello; Not sure about this gravel, but think the gravel used in many cement mixes is crushed limestone. A way to test is to drop some acid onto the gravel. I have in the past tested stones with some battery acid. If the acid fizzes and bubbles the stone ia likely limestone.

can do the same test with vinegar.
 
I use that gravel in most of my tanks and ponds. I used to love it because it was 4 bucks for 50 pounds but I'm kinda leaning away from it now. The rocks are pretty sharp and trap large particles. Its fish safe 100% but you must rinse the crap out of it.
