QuikSand Fluidized Bed Filter

I haven't used one... yet.... but have heard they work preatty good as long as you can keep them from clogging up

I've had one for about 3 months now. It works great for me. Like Rhinod said, you need to put the water through a fine filter before it gets to the sand bed.

We have one at work on our big system's sump. I like it though I am not exactly sure how it works. How big of a tank are you planning on getting?

I'm getting 2 qsa1's for my 135g

You could get away with a wet dry for a tank that size. FSBs are mainly for large tanks.

this tank is already fully filtered I am only getting these becuase ofthe great price I am getting them for.

i've used them for years and they are an awesome bio filter. I don't have problems with them clogging and just have a small sponge prefilter on the powerhead that drives it.

they aren't a mechanical filter at all.

I know they aren't a mechanical filter. I will be useing them as more bio filtation and that is all.
