Well i went to my favorite fish store today, I havent been around there in a few weeks due to work and roomate moving out and other not fish related purchasing. and the store had went to crap, it has changd owners they got rid the only person id buy fish from there and replaced her with 2 16-17 ish girls that spent more time talking about makeup then even asking if i needed a hand
its a sad day here i will never set foot into that store again that leaves me with only one good option close.
 
Bummer. The best one near me closed several months ago. :(
 
Ouch... I don't want to say anything more than that, as to not jinx myself.
 
sorry to hear that. i'm a little bummed out too. My favorite lfs moved, so now it's not in convenient driving range :(
 
The best LFS that's close to my house has some awesome people that know a lot, and they have a lot of people that are morons. Unfortunately the morons are the ones in charge of the grunt work (see: lots of dead fish).
 
That would truly upset me. I have one lfs that used to be incredible, and has gone way down hill of late, but it is on the other side of town. Luckily, I have one close to me that is pretty good. Their fish haven't been looking great lately, but none of the fish in our area have.

I would call the store and tell them how disappointed you are in the change. Mention the girls and the quality of the fish. Tell them they have and will lose valuable customers if the continue this way.

I had a friend who had the same thing happen, and she did an editorial in the local newspaper. It didn't take long for that lfs to change to the good.
