i have a AST and it is beyond shy. used to come out and crush feeders and now it waits for the lights to come off and im sleepin before he eats. some times ill throw dry grass shrimp and here him suck them off the surface in the middle of the night. just bought a clown loach and an iNDO . u think he we be more socialable now?:cry:
 
Whats AST? Im not familiar with that term.
 
Datnoids are predatory hunters. They wait till to strike their food. Try leaving the lights on more and adding a few other dats or bottom feeders to encourage swimming. Good luck
 
yea well that might get the dat moving...for a little while
