Hey! I am just starting to fish in a lake and is more of a aquarium guy so I am going to bring some nightcrawlers but wen i go fishing i sometimes find these crayfish at the end of my line. Can I use them as bait? Live of course. I am trying to catch catfish but there r also other fish that might wind up and i am okay with it. There r small amount of rainbow trout, catfish, crappie, and bluegill.

IME catfish and bass LOVE crayfish, for large catfish use the crayfish whole, if they're smaller just use the tail.

YES. Oh and, YES.

No better bass bait in the world than a big crayfish.

Bass love crayfish..use the tail..but catfish want the whole thing..try bottom bouncing or just dead stick them..

Thanks guys! I will take that as a yes and the catfish i believe in the lake goes about 5ft. Maximum is 6 ft but I will most likely not be able to suceed in that. Thanks guys! Will respond later on how the crayfish works for me.

Well it turns out that i did not catch a thing. Probably the lake that i fished at was pretty cold and very windy so i will try again later.

Lolz second time fishing but this time a lot warmer. Gosh tho the place were i fished snagged my line so much! Like i gave up and went home. Every time i cast my line got snagged. So frustrating oh well mybe try another place.

change your rig up to a snag proof set up ;) fish love structure and maybe hunkered down in your snags.
