I got a call from my sister yesterday afternoon telling me that my tank had been struck with some sort of disease. At that point, she said, I lost:
Pearl Catfish
Sailfin Pictus Catfish
Eclipse catfish
Poly Retropinnis
She told me that they were doing everything that they could to save my fish, but they had no idea what was going on. Later that night, I got a phone call from my dad. I could tell that he had been crying and was reluctant to tell me what he had to say. He told me that Geoffrey, my 20" giraffe cat had fought the good fight, but just couldn't do it anymore.
This is one of the reasons I hate being at college and away from my fish. At this point I dont know what to do. He was by far my favorite fish I've ever had. I was and still am thinking about leaving the hobby. but my parent s just want me to wait to make sure its what I really want before I make any rash decisions.
This was Geoffrey the Giraffe Catfish and he was nearly 2 years old. May he rest in peace.
