I choose to put down my Marble cat today. He was looking fine until last night, hiding in his cave waiting for food, then he was suddenly roaming the tank but not eating anything. Then this mourning his whiskers were all torn up, His upper lip had no skin on it as did various spots on his back an underbelly. Then tonight he was swimming very slow an dazed, bumping into anything an everything surfacing like a whale. An genrally looking rather :( an in pain. So I chose to put him down. I dont know what caused all this as my other cats are fine an my water parameters are perfect.

Over the course of his life with me he ate feeders, worms, frozen krill, a few Bala Sharks, an one bushynose pleco. He grew from 3" to close to 18"

why didnt you quarentine? if you dont mind

only free tank I dont think would be big enough to hold him, plus I didnt want to chance waiting for it to cycle or losing him to a cycling tank. An I Wasnt sure what was wrong with him, an cant afford to buy numerous meds in hopes of one working.

That sucks, sounds like he got a bad bacteria infection. Was any of the other fish picking on him?

Nope no one picked on him he was built like a tank (couldve easily eaten most of my other fish, if I missed feeding him), he went from looking fine to all beat up in bout 12 hours. I had a smaller 4-line cat go threw the same but her was harassed by another fish so that prolly added to it.
