R.I.P. Ray =(

My Freshwater Atlantic Stingray has just past away due to some injury he has not recovered over the course of weeks He left our family Today September 7th 2008 on 10:47. I can't believe he's gone now! I only had him for over a month in a half so why did he have to go?! he has turned black and is upside down already I may get another one but who know's...this is my very first stingray and had alot of character in him and he started to get hand fed their 2nd night it was with me and it would always swim up to the top of the tank when im near the tank and it always know's when its feeding time

R.I.P. Ray (Thats his name) I still have pics of him in my album in my profile and I had the latest video of him very happy 2 days ago and now gone

the injurys were some scratches and some cuts from something....im not sure what it could have injured itself as I took the floating wood i had before into another tank and their are nothing else in the tank except sand, powerhead, intake tube of the HOB and some intake and outtakes from the Wet/Dry

sorry for your loss, i used to have a leopard tortoise that behaved similar to ray and when he died i was devestated

Thanks you guys =) I'll get another ray sooner or later...I hope its one that has the same or similar characteristics as Ray...Motoro would be nice...i'll see what I find later on...

4x 4" Cichla Orinocensis (their only aggressive towards eachother at night and at my hands...)
1x 3.5" Indo Tiger Datnoid
1x 7" Longnose Gar (Very Shy and always sits at the top...)
1x 6" Niger Catfish

is it possible that ray rubbed up against the niger and got scraped on the spines?
