R.I.P. Silver

I called the lfs store today to see if Silver had been adopted last Fri,
(It was a plan in the works) but Vince told me that with her bit off tail (from the Pacu).

That Silver had been under the weather and she had passed on.

Vince didnt elaborate, except to say that Silver hadn't been doing so well the whole time and that it is one of the things that happens in petstores.
(Yeah in bad ones!!).


Man I feel like crap. I should have just taken her back and kept her in a 20L and advertised her in the papers, or online.

Would have been way better for him(Even if the tank was kinda small!!

Yeah these things happen. Even when you sell to fellow hobbyists, mistakes/accidents happen.

At least the suffering wasn't ongoing for too long.

Yes my tank is alot more peaceful now without Silver the sen bullying but she was still a nice looking fish and I was very fond of her. I thought I did the right thing.

even though its technically not your fish anymore, i guess you where still attached to it huh?

but at the end of the day, sometimes you have to sacrifice one for the good of the whole... its not cool but true. think what could have happened if she was still in your tank? it might have been one or more of your other fish in the sh|t. and you obviously made the right choice, as you say the rest of your tank is a lot more relaxed.

and its an excuse to buy more
