my oscar died today for no aparent reason.. woke up in the mroning and fed it.... came back found it dead? No physical signs of damage..... I t seemed pretty healthy but it recently became less active and was always fighting with his reflection? HE WAS 11.75'' and really fat... Oh well may he R.I.P.

nope nothing has changed at all.......im still curious as to why it died ..... its stomach area looked like it was inflated and it had gravel in its mouth when i took it out....
 
what are the red things on the gill plate and mid body

looks a bit backed up perhaps it was constipated and a build up of toxins caused it to die.

edit just read the post above I bet ya it ingested some rocks and got blocked up

thats just gravel...... yes it looked like its lower belly was inflated in some way?
