Hi all it`s my first post here although i`ve been looking through the posts for a while and learned alot from you guys/girls so huge thanks right from the get go.

Anyway i`ve just bought an R.O unit from ro man ( http://www.ro-man.com/shop/product_i...roducts_id/256 ) along with a retaining tank and inline tds tester and a few other bits.

My question is can i use a 75% r.o 25% tap water mix because it`s only really the hardness of my water that`s real high and because of this i`m having to use about 15ish bubbles a second from my CO2 which as you can expect is expensive but worst of all in order for my CO2 indicator to be green all the fish gasp for air because the sheer abundance of CO2 is pushing all the O2 from the water. Or can i make my own additives in the way of bicarb of soda and anything else that might be needed?

My fish are

4x Red severum
1x Green severum
1x Black ghost knife 12"
1x Polypterus senegalus 9"
1x Polypterus delhezi 6"
1x Polypterus weeksii 9"
1x Polypterus ornatipinnis 8"
1x Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri 13"
1x polypterus lapradei 6"

Tank size 60"x23"x19" Rena tank.

Thank you all in advance for the help i`m sure i`ll recieve.

It should be ok to mix the two just remember to add dechlorinator(if needed) before adding to your tank-Anne

This probably should be in the "setup and filtration forum"

Sorry it`s in the wrong place i wasn`t sure so i put it here because here is where i spend all my time lurking.. lol

Thanks for the reply.
