Already posted this in another thread not realizing it should be here.

Was just wondering what I should do to the water after it has been through an R.O. system for my Jardini. What trace minerals or whatever I should put in it.

Looking for the best enviorment for my Jar. :D

sea chem makes a real good r/o replenish product i dont run carbon at all so i cant help you there

I bought a coralife R/O. Had it about a month and returned it. For fresh water it is not needed. The minerals it removes will play games with your PH, then you have to get R/O right and manage your PH precisely. The amount of wate rit wastes is astronomical. If you had a reef tank then I would say go for it, but on fresh water stick with tap and a good conditioner. I wouldnt recommend anything with aloe in it due to the foaming it creates. I used the stress coat once and I could still smell chlorine in the water. If you can get some TLC water conditioner, I would get that.

I have an R.O unit but only use it for discus breeding... i have a red asian arowana and he lives fine of aged tap water. he's more happy about what he gets to eat rather than soft water. just imo.
