I have a home made blowgun, and I think I talked about it one time, and I went hunting for real for once and there was a rabbit so I aimed at its neck and it went all the way through and I thought I made my first kill but it starts running a way and I chase it for 30+ minutes trying to put it out of its misery and I eventually lose it :( Some kids who shoot rabbits there with bows and arrows said they will look for it. But I feel very bad about how much pain the rabbit probably is in.

I also checked the laws and I can kill as many, where ever I want on public land. I think :nilly:.

I also really need to find it because if you kill it you have to take it.

Any one else try and kill something and the animal got away with major or minor injury?

I shot a dear in the head and it ran away. Tried to chase it but obviously the dear was faster. I didn't know you were supposed to aim for the heart. My friends dad ( went hunting with my friends family) found the dear two days later about 2 Km from where I shot it. I had hit it in the jaw and the jaw was completely gone.

Birds. I hate when I get a bad shot and they try to fly away, so I have to go chase them down with a BB pistol. I have a story about a starling that just wouldn't die, but it's a bit gory for this site.

They're a major pest around here and I can shoot as many as I want with an air rifle, bow, dart gun or anything other than a firearm. I have a high powered air rile that usually kills instantly, but not always. :(

how did u make it?

Iv gotten a few crows and such with bad shots. I have actually hit one watched it fly and in mid flight it folded up and died.:headbang2

I leave rabbits alone now days. I go after groundhogs, pigeons, black birds, grakles, crows those sort of things. Air rifle with PBA ammo

I feel bad for all these guys. I'm not a PETA member, but I don't agree with hunting for sport. I don't even fish anymore because a lot of times fish die even when released (throat hooked, gill handled etc.) I have nothing against people that do, and I know some really poor people back home (Alabama) that only eat meat if they kill it, but I'm not gonna do it just to get my jollies. As long as I can buy meat at the store, and I have cash in my pocket, I'm going to opt to eat animals that were bred and slaughtered specifically for that purpose.
