I like the look of the Challenger... but the weight and the fact that it drive's like the 70's muscle car it's made after kill it for me. To be a real contender in todays pony car match up, you need to have the look, the power and the handling. That is (in my opinion) where the Challenger and Camaro fell off when trying to chase the Mustang again in the past couple of years.
thats why if i were muscle car guy the mustang earn my my place, they seem to get what a proper sport car needs.

i am not muscle car guy is because i dont like the lazy type car, i like high rpm jet roar like sounding engine instead of thundering like sound of propellers.

as with old "real" muscle car i only admire certain body type that looks good and has present to it, thats it. not only the size of displacement and the growl it makes, about the handling we all know its non-existent.

i rarely look challenger on the street maybe be because i wasnt look for one, was looking at it only when it raise on this thread.
then i come to realize that it does look good but theres no present/soul to it on the road, thats why i rarely notice it.
i noticed the camaro more on the road even its only the RS model (Real Slow to my definition) but its prolly due to transformer movies LOL

I think the other big factor for me is the lack of aftermarket for the newer Pony cars from Mopar and the Bowtie crew. I see lots of air dams and oversized / color matched wheels. Nothing really to put you back in your seat.

Mopar doesnt have alot but they do seem to be turnning out alot of track packs. Would be nice to see more as a mopar guy

I would have to disagree with you on a few things, yes handling is an issue... when your shocks are are 30+ years old and your still using 9 layer lateral leaf springs. Wear and tear and old tech, don't mix. However, the same technology and materials used in your suspension are available for retrofit for "muscle cars". On a side note, the 350z weighs 3,339 to 3,404 pounds and my car weighs 3565 so its not so big and heavy. As far as lazy cars go, technically your car is lazy (if you using a lancer) compared to an FC or FD Rotary. I have a 3S and a big DSM fan. Working on both sides of the fence, you can't label "Muscel Cars" to Big and Heavy streight liners.
