Hi MFk, to cut to the chase, I was going to be setting up a rack system for my 75 gallon tanks, and ran across a couple heavy duty metal racks for sale and just wanted to get some opinions on whether or not they'd hold up. Ill include the picture that shows what racks I'm thinking of, and I'm thinking 1 rack on the top (2nd shelf) shelf, and 1 on the bottom shelf. The items description lists the weight limit per shelf is 1500 lbs. Per shelf assuming the weight is distributed evenly. Any thoughts, opinions, concerns, etc. are welcome. Thank you in advance.

That Craftsman stand looks super strong, esp for 75 gal tanks. It's great how the ends of each shelf is welded to a bracket that rides on the uprights. The anti-racking support also looks good. The only weak spots in this whole rack system are the small black bolts that support the shelves. They will shear off under heavy loads. I would swap them for larger diameter bolts, which would greatly increase the load strength. Also, I would choose grade 8 (or above) bolts which would have greater strength than standard mild steel bolts of the same size. They're commonly used in automobiles & available at many auto parts stores.

Awesome, thanks! I will check out the alternate bolts and probably use these then!
