I'm looking at building two new rack's one for Redtailed boa's and one for corn's any one have any input??? or could you please share pic's of your's :D thank's Looking at about 8'x5'x3' and 6'x5'x2' and cheap as possible???????

cheap, and easy 2x4's and use plywood sheets as shelves then house them in rubbermaids. Thats what most breeders use.

alright I'd like to have 12 adult corns in the first rack. I was hoping to use boxes 21''1/2 x 14''1/2 x 5'' they cost $4 each is that big enough? but at that size the lids don't stay tight. so if I went with no lid the carpentrey work would have to be pretty good to make them fit tight in the shelves and I own any tools what so ever so cost of wood and tools is costly but otherwise I was thinking of A flat metal grate like peice of cat walk or metal rack used to hang things in retail stores or closet shelving sold at lowes at about 10 to 20 bucks put that on a closet floor stack 4 high sterlite sweater boxes on top each other to keep lids closed than set them on the grate to keep top lid closed tight an tension on the rest I would bungy cord from floor grate over the center of the top box back to the floor grate with a wide band bungy sold at wal mart $2 each three stacks of these in a 5'x5' closet with holes drilled to vent and I'd use a heat emiter to heat the hole closet I know this sounds overly cheap but I'd only undo 1 cord and could clean/water/feed 4 boxes at a time. and that would cost $48 for boxes $6 cords $15 for floor rack $25 for heat emiter thats $94 or $99 after tax and I already have the heat emiter and the floor rack peice so let me have it what do you guys think is it possible whats got to change or what else could I do to make an easy to clean 12 rack in a closet for about $100 bucks I could maybe use somones hand drill or skill saw PLEASE as much feed back as possible and pics would be nice and any one live in the WI area I'm 25 miles south of Greenbay thanks

Alright I could skip the rack on the floor and just rap the bungey strap all the way around the middle of say 4 stacked plastic tubs to keep the center of the lides down tight I know I just keep getting cheaper and cheaper at this but I'm not seeing a lot of differance betwen this and a 3 to 4 hundered $ rack made in some factory in china as long as the temp is controled so please prove me wrong here what am I not seeing

agree... go through kingsnake youll see alot of decent diy racks... and there is another site that had some good ones with detailed instructions i cant remember it but i found it through google...

I went even cheaper, I don't even use a rack haha

I'm using 28qt sterilite tubs with the standard lids, and two of those 24" bunjees from walmart. Use the round cable type, since the flat ones are just not tight enough to make the lid feel secure, even though this size tub is for baby snakes, better save than sorry.

I have three of these just stacked on top of each other, two bunjees each.

I think it's like $4 or $5 for the tub, $3 for a set of two bunjees.

hth, I'll get a pic up tomorrow.

Cool that pic would be nice but go with the round you say .What about a like 48'' bungy around a stack of like four totes cause the top ones should holed on the lides of the bottom ones also what size do you suggest for 36''-48'' corns I don't want them to move around to much cause I'm trying to pack weight on them but they will all get handling time cause I show the on school field trips and tours and stuff so they will get time for a good stretch like 3or 4 times a week pluse a couple of mins each day for cleaning a such
