Rainbow Cichlids and Rays

Has anyone tried this combo?

A LFS near me had some nice 4-5"ers.. I read that they are not very aggressive. I understand they will eventually become food for rays..

But I am wondering if they are similiar to Geophagus, as most eartheaters would eventually get eaten as well..

Any experience?
