rainbow darter fish

is anyone familiar with them.do you know how to sex them or breed them because i caught about fifty of them in local creek.here is a pic of one of them .

It's a beautiful fish. Just make sure you check local regs, they are threatened in many areas.

I know the males are mor colorful than the females and they should take frozen blood worms but other than that I'm no help. I plan on getting some of these jewels for myself soon.

I have a few in a tank at work and they eat my "homegrown" frozen zooplankton mix, bloodworms, mysis, and omega 1 flakes. Just keep that water clean and a good current going. Make sure they get enough food, because darters are some of the few fish I've seen starve over a short period of time-they seem to burn up calories quicker than most fish.
