I was looking for some information on the above fish as I was hoping to setup a smallish tank with a nice fish in and try keep running costs as low as possible heater and size wise etc.
I had seen a 105l tank for sale that measures 75x35x40cm and wondered if that was too small?
What size tank could one of these live in comfortably for life and do they do ok on their own? I have read about rainbow needing mixed temperatures and not feeding as often as other fish as they can get fat but wondered from people who have kept them what are they like to keep?
Do they try to escape often? Can they be kept in a planted tank etc
Any advice welcome!
