anyone keep any rainbow trout? i just wound up with 15-20 babies that my kids and there friends caught so i put them in an isolated section of one of my ponds. 3/4" - 1 1/2" they caught them in a trout stream and there werent any fish besides the rainbow trout in the stream so im 99% sure there trout fry.

Sorry but its best just to let them go,your gona need chillers and as bigg tank and the water has to be clean and crisp

there in a 2000 gallon pond in a fast moving stream like section and currently about 66 degrees, and now that ive done some research, i dont believe that they are rainbow's maybe there are other trout in the stream that they are? but i was just reading that the rainbows in iowa DO NOT spawn in the wild there all hatchery raised and released.

Got any pics of fish and pond?

fish are too small there all hiding but i have plenty of the pond.

Cool pics, I have often thought about the possiblity of keeping brook trout. If your pond stays fairly cool they might have a chance. Keep us in the loop I would like to know how this goes.

Quite the amazing pond. Nature at it's finest.
