Rainbow Wolf Fish Questions

I picked one up today because he was relatively cheap. I guess my question is what type of fish can they be kept with? Are that as nasty as their bigger cousins? I have a few tank, He's tiny now 2.5" maybe so I'll grow him out slowly in a smaller setup.

Any advice would be nice.

You'll get alot more reply in the other characin forum. Anyway, rainbow (AKA reds) are alot more tolerant with tankmates that their wolf cousins. Just make sure that tankmates are the same size or a bit bigger than the wolf. There might be a little fighting but usually it's fine. I've kept them with bichirs. Just make sure the tankmates can't fit in the red wolf's mouth.

My 8" wolf beat up my 12" fl gar that was first attempt in trying to keep them together I power fed my gar who Is now in the 13 & 1/2" and as round as a 3" now they are fine lol

Yea, I am housing it with JD, Grammodes, Poly Lap, and an Irwini Cat along with a shoal of Rainbow Cichlids. He's the smallest fish I've got.
