I noticed my Comet Goldfish had a raised bump on it. No outter discoloration at all. It is in a 100 gallon stock tank outside with anacharis. These fish have been in this tank with these plants now for 5 months. Water parameters checked ok. The bump was under the scales and now has broken open. I netted the fish out and saw what looked like white cottage cheese underneath it. The fish is healthy. The fish swims around fine. The fish eats fine. Shows no other signs of stress. None of the other tank mates show any signs of this. 2 common goldies, 2 shubbies , 1 gold dojo loach, 3 mollies i couldnt catch, 1 female guppy. I looked through the threads and the posts but nothing ...

I treated with melafix for the open sore. No need to raise the temps because its summer time south florida.

seems high for a goldfish, prolly need a chiller on it. heard some success with the mini fridge mod, but never tried it myself.

for me I'm taking an asetek vapochill classic, attaching it to a gpu waterblock and then running a pump through that for the pond.

sounds like some kind of cyst and now broken you can see the puss. I would add some melafix which is antibaterial and aids healing.
