Hi guys,

After a failed try due to fungus ruining the eggs, my flowerhorn pair finally managed to get free swimmers. The batch has approximately 200+ fries. They were in the 4*1*2 feet tank with their parents.

I siphoned out half of them and am trying to raise them in a separate smaller tank with water from the parents tank and a sponge filter. They have just become free swimmers so I dont know what to feed them. Freshly hatched brine shrimps are not available here so usually i feed them powdered dry shrimp or flake. Those still with the parents are fending for themselves on their own. I am doing this to compare their survival and growth rate.

Please suggest the next step. Your invaluable input and suggestions are much required and appreciated.

Thanks

Get a monster tank to house all 200+ fries and cull the nice ones out for yourself/resale. Also, I'd sell a majority of them away at a reasonable price. Feed them hikari pellets, crush them into powder form. Pix pix pix!
