So I just got 3 fry from a buddy of mine. They are about 1 inch to 1.5 inches. I just want some advice on what to do.
I have them in a 30 gallon together with lots of hiding spaces, so far no aggression has been shown yet. They eat approximately 5 times a day with flakes. I do WC every 2-3 days, 30%. Heater set at 86 degree F.
So, I am thinking of getting a divider or two (or making them with mesh/plastic canvas), just wondering if that is a good idea to do it this early when there is no aggression. Ive heard some people say its better to keep together in groups at this stage. Then, ive also heard its better to separate to them for better potential in showing kok and color.
As for food, I can try crushed pellets, since some people claim that flakes are not that nutritional?
Any input from successful breeders would be awesome.
