what is the best and safest way to raise ph.. mine seems to be too low, around 6.0 or so, and i have a pbass and ornate bichir.

today when i woke up my pbass has a little spot of cloudiness on both of its eyes, and i dont know why, my water parameters look fine, other than my ph is low.

any suggestions? i added some melafix but i think i should rase my ph? and what is the best way to do this?

In addition to the crushed coral which is and excelent way to up your Ph and buffer, increased airation (the addition of an airstone) will also help raise the Ph.

I can't answer your question about the chemiacl buffer I never used it.

most "pH up" products are nothing except baking soda. Baking soda from the grocery store is far less pricey however. Id suggest you buy some from the store, but keep in mind that you don't want to drastically raise the pH, or lower it for that matter. Take small steps in altering it, your fish will thank you.
