There is a sticky above called APISTOGRAMMA and Other Dwarf Cichlids that may be very useful.
There is also Apistogramma.com with loads of photos and info on these dwarf cichlids not normally thought of, as monsters.
You may also want to check out AquaticClarity, a site that specializes in Dwarf cichlids, owned by a friend I've known for manny years in Wisconsin (he's also a regular on Apistogramma.com)
