RAM DIET??

Does anyone have info on a good varied diet for blue rams?

cichlid flakes or small pellets, bloodworms, brine, and maybe some peas.

peas? i think they might be too large?

there are plenty of foods for rams - just make sure that it fits into their mouths...
frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, etc all work well.

Mine love frzn brine shrimp. I feed them frz dried "plankton" too... but I'm wondering if its the same thing? Looks very similar. Have fed Tetra mini granules too

I think I have a male and my lfs just got more in. I want to get a female. Plan to put a 10 gallon below the tank there in now. I am going to put a little bit of sand and flower pot in and see what happens. Anyone have pics of males compared to females?

Yes peas, just cut them to size.

females will have blue spangles in their big black spot, while males will not.

I've been keeping 4 bolivian rams in with some fire eels, A silver arowana, some Datnoids and bushfish. These get a very meaty diet, with Bloodworm, Mussle Prawn and lancefish. They do get some Freeze dried krill and pellets, and i'm getting a very good growth rate from them. They are also displaying some amzing colouration.
