might be a silly question here, but will a male gold ram breed with a female German ram??

My gut is saying that they are like angles, a silver will breed with a double black,
but I'm not positive as I have never kept them before.

Yes. Rams will pretty much breed with any other variation of ram.

I'm not sure that the different species will cross (M. ramirezi and M. altispinosus), but blues, golds, and electric blues are all color morphs of M. ramirezi and will spawn together.

This is some good info. I have a golden ram who I think is hooking up w/ a blue ram because the golden ram is keeping another blue ram away while staying around the other.
