i currently have a 2.5g of ramshorn and MTS. i have a small patch of java moss in there. i often see clutches of eggs on the side of the tank but rarely do i see them hatch. theres no heater in there but seems like everything is fine. i do water changes every 2 or 3 days about 50-75%, i use a turkey baster to suck up the poop and water. i seem to do better which hatchings if i take the eggs out and put them in a jar.
is there anything i am doing wrong? i think during the WC i might be sucking up the little ones but not seeing them.

like every other day a few sinking pellets

I don't have any experience with ramshorns, but from what I've seen MTS are not really picky regarding their environment as long as the water isn't on the soft/acidic side. Do you know the pH of your water? If it is acidic you will likely see the ends of the shells on the MTS start to turn white and erode as calcium actually dissolves out of them. I have an 8.0 pH shrimp tank and the MTS are breeding like mad in there, but I also feed Crab Cuisine pellets (balanced with algae wafer chunks and occasional flake) which are calcium-enriched.

Do keep in mind, though, that MTS don't lay eggs - they are parthenogenic ( that is, they're all females - no males) livebearers. They are pretty small when first born, though, so it's theoretically possible that you vaccumed some out. They seem to be so prolific, however, that I doubt you could have gotten all of them!

some of my MTS shells are eroding but thats from the person i got them from. i chip off pieces of calcium supplements into the tank once in a while.
i dont know the pH of the water, i just use tank water from other tanks.

MTS seem to absorb calcium very quickly to thicken their shells more than any snail could. The same can be said with nerites.
