Will a larger Fahaka even be interested in Ramshors Snails, or are they too small? I have a 28 gallon with Ramshorns that I started breeding for my Fahaka. My Fahaka is growing so fast that I am not sure if he will even be interested in these snails once I am ready to feed them.

They'll eat large ramshorns. They like apples and briggs too.

My Fahaka tank is a good place to breed snails, because he won't bother with them when they're small.

I threw one in about as big as his eye (the Fahaka is about 6"). He at it right away. He loved it. I am afraid when he gets 10+ inches he will have no interest in these ramshorns.

Maybe I should get some Apple snails. Those are the same as Mystery Snails, right? They don't breed very fast though, do they?

My apples used to lay tons of eggs.

Im working on breeding A. Helena "assassin snails" which feed on other snails... at one time I thought I had an issue with too many snails, but now Ive found that I need more to feed these guys. If by chance you have a bunch of ramshorn snails they seem to prefer these over pond or MTS, Id love to take them off your hands and let them become food for other snails. I havent had any signs of breeding but they require eating other snails to generate eggs or something like that, so Im hoping someone is getting tired of just crushing the snails and can set aside a bag of them for me.Thanks and Happy Holidays,Chris

MTS are known to be so hard, they will break a puffer's teeth.
